Hailing from France, Matt Fax is a young but accomplished DJ and producer who has been making waves for a couple of years now. He first arrived on the scene in 2012 but soon turned some important heads with his fresh fusion of electro, house and techno.
Never one to sit still, he has since evolved into a more melodic and progressive sound that is lush, musical and emotive. All this means he is often referred to as the new Eric Prydz, thanks to his 80s inspired, party starting style, but essential Matt is very much his own man with his own special sound.
Early releases came on labels such as Balkan Connection (in the form of his “Deadline / Invisible”) release, and since then he has continued to soak up influences from many different genres, including trance. With his own unique style and a keen ear for a real hook, killer groove and interesting texture, Matt never really stays in one place for too long and is always inventing new aspects to his beats. It is an approach that is working, too, because he has picked up great support for his music from the likes of Armin van Buuren, BT, tyDi, Jaytech, Above and Beyond, Gareth Emery and many more. He has also released on labels like Enhanced Music, Armada, Anjunabeats and Black Hole and has also performed guest mixes for prestigious radio shows such as Above & Beyond's 'Group Therapy'.
All this means that Matt Fax has achieved some great goals early on in his career, but he promises much more of the same in the future.
