Freestylers’ official music video of “The Coming Storm” now online

18.04.2013

In addition to the release of their latest single, the Freestylers now proudly present the official musical video of “The Coming Storm”. As with the clips of their previous hit singles “Frozen” and “Over You”, the Freestylers approach the visual presentation of their music from a unique point of view; making the video for “The Coming Storm” one to watch over and over again.

The official video for “The Coming Storm” was directed by Rosco Guerrero and Christopher Dodge from the known film- and video studio Blurred. True to the title of the track, the clip unwinds as a dark, slightly twisted short film that builds up a tense atmosphere as the song unfolds - working towards an unexpected climax. The single itself already receives support from John B, Crissy Criss, Roni Size, Aphrodite, Bassnectar, DC Breaks, Eddy Temple Morris, Mista Jam, Flux Pavillion, Steve Aoki, Peshay, Pyramid and Aquasky and will certainly skyrocket its Youtube rankings with the official video release.

With “The Coming StormMatt Cantor and Aston Harvey launched a veritable assault on the music scene. The single takes the fusion of dub and jungle to another level with its warrior charged sensibility. Being a collaboration with Stereo:Type and featuring the moody and melodic vocals of Takura (of Flashing Lights/Chase and Status fame) the track has all the hallmarks of a classic Freestylers sound, but ramped up for the new era, including massive remixes by Ed Solo and Sound Avtar.

Paving the way for their upcoming album release by the same title, it’s safe to prepare yourself for the coming storm!
