Black Hole Recordings officially rereleases DJ Tiësto - “Magik One: First Flight”

11.07.2011

“Magik One: First Flight”, originally released in 1997, was the first live turntable mix ever to be released on DJ Tiësto’s own Black Hole Recordings imprint. Firmly establishing DJ Tiësto’s reputation as the soon to become Number 1 DJ Of The World, the legendary series eventually covered seven volumes. “Magik One” now finally sees a proper rerelease in the digital domain for the very first time.

What has become a landmark for the Magik series and most notably “Magik One: First Flight”, was the absolute one of a kind quality of the track list. This truly was trance in its purest form, offering epic, melodic, at times orchestral and above all deeply emotional electronic dance music. Classic tracks like “Low Turbulence” by Jake & Jesse, “Titty Twister” by Viper 2, “L’Annonce Des Couleurs” by Mac Zimms, “Healing Dream” by Sunday Club and many others set the standard of what would eventually become the sound of Tiësto. Present are also DJ Tiesto’s own releases like “Long Way Home” and his alias productions “Chapter Two” by Stray Dog and “When She Left” by Allure.

The true Tiësto followers of the first hour simply can’t afford to miss this rerelease, which presents “Magik One: First Flight” in one complete package featuring the original continuous DJ mix plus the full length, unmixed versions of all sixteen original tracks as used for the actual CD release in 1997. Some of these classics are nearly impossible to find, so this is a unique and maybe even the first opportunity ever to finally own them all.

Out of print for over a decade, “Magik One: First Flight” is finally available again in all its digital splendor, newly remastered and including all unmixed single tracks; a long overdue but essential rerelease for every Tiësto fan and collector!
