Sons of Methuselah EP
1.Convolutions // 2.Polaris

Sons of Methuselah present their debut EP on the Songbird imprint. The two titles are “Convulations” and “Polaris”.

It’s nice to hear that new acts can still be influenced by the sound of the masters from back in the days. “Convulations” is a track that has a bit of Jan Hammer and even Harold Faltermeyer in it. It’s maybe also because you can easily imagine this production in a modern day movie. “Convulations” is an under cooled, more or less mystical track with subtle drum programming, a rolling bass and with a floating, far away piano in the break. An intimate and deep trance set would be perfect for this one and even the progressive DJs will love this one.

The next track, “Polaris” is most certainly a progressive track with techno influences in it. The minimalistic setup of the arrangement creates an exciting overall sound and is therefore one of those unique cuts that many DJs of all styles will like.
