"Joni Ljungqvist has, since his early teens, been making dance music that stays true to melodic emotion. Influenced by early synthesizer tapes, he bought a faulty keyboard which would be his first hand at producing.
Thanks to the internet he eventually managed to have a 2004-release championed by Markus Schulz with Terje Bakke (both at age 16 at the time) called "Fanatic". The year after things really picked up as his "People I Used To Know" was selected by Tiësto for his famed In Search of Sunrise-series. Since then, he's been a household name in the world of trance and progressive, hosting numerous radioshows, DJing at various locations in the world and further improved his craftmanship with wide influences within the music world.
Wheter it's been as JPL, LNQ, A Boy Called Joni or under his real name, he has stayed true to his roots and maintaining an overall passion for music, the future looks nothing but exciting."
